Mehmet Acettin, a human rights advocate and one of the owners of the Etkin News Agency, was taken into custody following a raid on his home in Istanbul on June 16. The detention was carried out as part of an investigation into the Marxist Theory Journal. Detention warrants were also issued for three other individuals as part of the investigation.
