In the trial of journalist Timur Soykan, the prosecutor presented his closing argument on June 16. The prosecution sought a prison sentence of up to 9 years and 6 months for Soykan on charges of spreading misleading information to the public and inciting others to commit a crime, based on his social media posts. The court lifted the travel ban on Soykan and postponed the hearing until July 10.
