In a report published regarding the March 19 protests, the Turkish Medical Association stated that widespread health issues and human rights violations occurred due to the chemical agents used and interventions carried out by security forces. According to the report, which surveyed over 2,000 participants, coughing, shortness of breath, and eye irritation were the most frequently reported health issues. The TTB demanded that officials who used excessive force be prosecuted and that chemical agents be banned.
