Mehmet Emin Fidan, who set his white Taurus car on fire in front of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) in Ankara, was arrested.
The incident occurred on the morning of August 19 near the Çankaya Gate of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The Ministry of Interior announced that Fidan was a scrap dealer in Mersin and committed the act to demand an SCT reduction.
Fidan is reportedly undergoing psychological treatment and has 16 criminal records, including theft, threats and forgery of official documents.
