Mabel Matiz gave a statement to the prosecutor’s office at Çağlayan Courthouse on September 22 within the scope of the “obscenity” investigation opened due to her song “Perperişan” and did not accept the accusation. The prosecutor’s office imposed a travel ban on the artist; the appeal against the decision is pending. Following a request by the Ministry of Family and Social Services and a criminal complaint by the Interior Ministry, the song was blocked on digital platforms.
