The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against Confederation of European Alevi Unions Founder and Chairman Turgut Öker was held at Istanbul Anatolian 10th Criminal Court of First Instance due to his speech at the protest rally against President Erdoğan organized in Karlsruhe, Germany in 2015. The prosecution of Öker, who is charged with “insulting Erdoğan,” will continue on June 10.
