The prosecution of t24.com.tr writer Mehmet Y. Yılmaz started at Istanbul 37th Criminal Court of First Instance with the allegation of insulting Binali Yıldırım with his article published in June with the headline, “Mr Binali, give me your secret, get my vote!” The court decided for Yılmaz to be exempted from the hearings after receiving his defense statement and scheduled the next hearing for April 9.
