The prosecution of journalist Ayşe Kara started at Diyarbakır 5th Assize Court due to “armed terrorist organisation membership” through her membership to the Free Journalists Association (ÖGC), Free Women’s Congress (KJA), the activities she conducted within the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and participating in the march she was following for news information in Mardin in 2016. The second hearing of the case was scheduled for November 9.
