The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against director Kazım Öz with the allegation of “illegal organisation membership” was held at Tunceli 2nd Assize Court. The director faces an imprisonment sentence for up to 15 years due to participating in the funeral of Sakine Cansız, who was one of the founders of the PKK and was killed in Paris on January 9, 2012, as well as in the Gezi Park Protests and the BDP Political Academy in 2010. The second hearing of the case will be held on February 4th.
