Following the rally organized in Saraçhane on the 100th day of Ekrem İmamoğlu’s arrest, a lawsuit was filed against 7 young people due to “insulting the President”. The youth were previously charged with “opposing the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations”. The indictment claims that the slogans after the rally insulted the honor of President Erdoğan. Istanbul 19th Criminal Court of First Instance ruled for the continuation of detention of 7 young people due to the nature of the crime and the state of evidence.
