The Republican People’s Party (CHP) Aydın Provincial Women’s Organisation Chair Ayşe Özdemir was convicted of “insulting the President” due to the “Las Tesis” protest on the violence against women. Aydın 8th Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced Özdemir to 11 months and 20 days of imprisonment.
