An investigation was opened against 25 women in Izmir due to “denigrating the government” (Turkish Criminal Code Article 301) as well as “violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911” through the dance protest “Las Tesis,” which was started by women in Chile and soon spread all around the world.
