Fatih Kapan, the judge of Istanbul 8th Criminal Court of First Instance who ordered the release of Ayşe Barım, who was arrested in the Gezi Park case, was investigated by the HSK and appointed to the Consumer Court. Kapan retired after a while and started working as a lawyer at a law firm in Istanbul. Kapan said his decision cost him his job but he believes it was the right one.
