Three journalists were detained by the police while covering the CHP rally organized in Saraçhane in Istanbul to mark the 100th day of Ekrem İmamoğlu’s arrest. Cumhuriyet newspaper reporters İrem Karataş, Erdem Ökten and Engin Deniz İpek were detained during the police intervention around Bozdoğan Arch.
Karataş and Ökten were released after a short while, while Engin Deniz İpek was reportedly taken to Vatan Security Directorate.
CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik announced the release of detained journalists.
