Journalist and Kaos GL Editor-in-Chief Yıldız Tar was detained in a home raid in Ankara ahead of the NATO Summit. A 24-hour restriction on access to lawyers was applied to Tar and others among those detained. DİSK Basın-İş, Reporters Without Borders, the Contemporary Journalists Association and the Journalists Union of Turkey condemned the detention and called for Tar’s release.
