Mesopotamia Agency Managing Editor Ferhat Çelik was acquitted in the first hearing of the lawsuit filed against him at Bayburt Criminal Court of First Instance following the complaint of Bayburt Type-M Closed Penitentiary Institute due to his news article on insects being added to the food of prisoners. The indictment prepared against the journalist had claimed an imprisonment sentence against the journalist for up to three years due to “false accusation.”
