Journalist Altan Sancar testified on March 24, 2026, in a case filed against him on charges of “spreading misleading information.” Testifying in Seferihisar at the instruction of the Ankara 27th Criminal Court of First Instance, Sancar stated that the posts were his own but that he had relayed information as part of his journalistic activities. Denying the charges, Sancar requested an acquittal. The court adjourned the hearing until April 9.
