Islamist groups gathered in front of the magazine building in Beyoğlu due to a cartoon published by Leman magazine. The group chanted slogans and attacked the building with stones and sticks. Instead of dispersing the protesters, the police only announced “Calm down”. The groups gathered at both entrances of Imam Adnan Street, causing fear among the citizens in the neighborhood. The protesters did not disperse and remained on the street for a long time.
