An investigation has been launched into Ahmet Güneş, the managing editor of the Yeni Yaşam newspaper, over news posts related to Northern and Eastern Syria. Güneş gave a statement at the Istanbul Police Department on May 4, accompanied by his lawyer. Güneş stated that his posts fell within the scope of journalistic activity and denied the charges.
