An investigation was opened against Mesopotamia Agency Istanbul reporter Sadiye Eser due to her interview, entitled, “Öcalan’s 20 years in Imralı” published in 2019. It was claimed that the interview conducted by journalist Eser with Mahmut Şakar, one of Öcalan’s lawyers, had “sentences involving propaganda.”
