Journalist Gülistan Dursun was summoned by the Istanbul Police to testify on the allegation of “making illegal organization propaganda” for participating in a press statement protesting the killing of Gülistan Tara and Hêro Bahadîn by an SİHA attack. On August 26, 2024, Dursun participated in a demonstration at Şişhane Square, carrying a tattoo reading “We are the unbending pen of Gurbetelli” was also charged. Dursun stated in his statement that he acted as a journalist and denied the charges.
