Known with her alias “Pucca,” Pınar Karagöz was sentenced to 5 years and ten months of imprisonment as well as 66,660 TL judicial fine in the lawsuit filed against her due to “promoting the use of drugs and stimulants.” In a statement she made on the social media, Karagöz stated that she was sentenced due to her tweets on Escobar. “I just found out that I was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment because of the tweet I posted on Escobar. Even Escobar wasn’t sentenced with such high penalty. What have I done to you?” she said. “Don’t watch the series of Escobar and comment on it here, you’ll receive an imprisonment sentence from 5 to 10 years… This is a terrific country, I swear,” Karagöz further stated.
