The hearing of the “fake diploma” trial of Ekrem İmamoğlu, the imprisoned IBB Mayor and CHP’s presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu in Silivri, started late after discussions in the courtroom and defense. In his interim decision, the judge postponed the trial to December 8, 2025. İmamoğlu stated that he did not want to make a defense at the hearing; the prosecutor demanded to wait for the outcome of the “diploma cancellation” case in the administrative court.
