IBB employee Nuri Başkapan is being investigated for a letter he wrote to Murat Ongun, IBB Presidential Advisor, while in prison. The prison administration did not deliver the letter to Ongun and filed a criminal complaint to the prosecutor’s office, claiming that the letter contained “derogatory statements against the President and state institutions”. In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the President, Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor, RTÜK President and TRT were named as complainants.
