The alternating hunger strike against ill-treatment in Elazığ Prison No. 2 is on its 7th day. DEM Party MP Serhat Eren stated that prison authorities continue the violations by saying “The process does not concern us”. Ward raids, physical torture, preventing sick prisoners from accessing hospitals and arbitrary board decisions extending the execution period were detected in the prison. Eren called on the Ministry of Justice to take responsibility: “The Ministry is directly responsible for every violation of rights”
