The Constitutional Court rejected the violation application for Taybet İnan, who was killed in 2015 in the Silopi district of Şırnak and whose body was left on the street for seven days, on the grounds of time. The application was not examined under the headings of “right to life”, “right to a fair trial” and “prohibition of torture”. However, it was ruled that the “right to respect for family life” was violated due to the ex officio burial of the body and the restrictions imposed on the burial ceremony. The applicants’ request for compensation was rejected.
