Human Rights Association (IHD) Istanbul Branch made a press declaration for Hatice Onaran who is under arrest. They demanded the release of Onaran, who was arrested for sending money to prisoners in prison. “Nevzat Onaran is not alone” banner was unfurled in the statement and it was emphasized that sending money to people in prisons is not a crime.
IHD stated that Onaran’s detention is unlawful and that this practice is aimed at criminalizing human rights defenders and solidarity.
