Demirhan Gözaçan, an advisor to Besim Dutlulu, the mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, who was taken into custody as part of an investigation led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, was arrested on May 18. Besim Dutlulu, the CHP-affiliated mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, reacted to the arrest order and said they expected Gözaçan to be released shortly.
