Ankara Governorate did not give permission for the commemoration event to be organized on Sakarya Street for 33 people who died in the bomb attack of ISIS three years ago in Suruç district of Urfa. The application on the event was denied due to the commemoration being organized in a space outside of the areas determined by the local administration for meetings and demonstrations. However, Article 34 of the Constitution states that every citizen has the right to organize a peaceful meeting and demonstration without prior permission.
