The verdict was delivered in the lawsuit filed against Hatice Çiftçi Göktepe for her post commemorating the dragging of the body of Hacı Lokman Birlik, who was killed during the curfew, tied to an armored vehicle. Urfa 2nd Assize Court sentenced Göktepe to 1 year and 6 months in prison for ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization’. The sentence was reduced to 1 year and 3 months and postponed. Göktepe said, “I made a humanitarian post, associating it with terrorism is against freedom of expression.”
