The DEM Party Istanbul Provincial Directorate held a press conference on Democracy Street in Sancaktepe regarding developments in northern Syria. Speaking at the press conference, Çınar Altan, Co-Chair of the DEM Party Istanbul Provincial Directorate, said that the attacks on Rojava targeted the search for a democratic solution to the Kurdish issue and the democratic life model established in the region. Following the statement, police surrounded some DEM Party members and removed journalists from the area. Four people were detained during the police intervention.
