Four people were detained for making provocative posts on social media about 17-year-old Atlas Çağlayan, who was killed in Istanbul’s Güngören district. The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation on its own initiative into threatening posts made against the family after the murder. The Istanbul Police Department announced that four individuals believed to be connected to the incident had been detained. Atlas Çağlayan was stabbed to death during an argument on January 14, and the attacker, E.Ç., was arrested.
