The prosecutor presented his final opinion on the case against former judge Yaşar Akyıldız at Ankara 4th High Criminal Court. The prosecutor demanded up to 15 years of imprisonment for Akyıldız on the charge of “being a member of an armed terrorist organization” due to his alleged involvement in FETÖ’s judicial structure. The prosecutor asked for the defendant’s continued detention. The court waived the hearing of the witnesses, gave the defendant and his lawyer time for written defense and adjourned the hearing to October 30.
