Etkin News Agency’s (ETHA) X account “@etkinhbrajansi” was blocked from Turkey on the grounds of national security and protection of public order.
ETHA’s accounts had been blocked many times before by the decisions of criminal judgeships of peace. Since 2015, access to accounts opened under different usernames has been blocked at least 10 times.
Finally, @etkinhaberajans (#10) was blocked with the decision of Erzurum 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace dated February 2025, and in August 2025, the new account “@etkinhbrajansi” was blocked.
