EMEP Istanbul MP İskender Bayhan, who wanted to watch the hearing of 8 people who were referred to court with a request for arrest for protesting against companies selling arms to Israel, was not allowed into the corridor where the courtroom was located. Bayhan made a statement in front of Bakırköy Courthouse and emphasized that those who trade arms with Israel should be put on trial, not the young people defending Palestine. Saying that the judiciary has become a cudgel of one-man rule, Bayhan called for “Release the youth!”
