Istanbul’s 33rd High Criminal Court ruled that the detention of 53 jailed defendants in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality case, including presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, would continue. The court conducted the detention review on 6 August. It set the next hearing in the case for 17 August.
