The police intervened the Student Collectives who announced their new semester struggle program in front of the Youth and Sports District Directorate in Kadıköy, Istanbul. Nine university students who said “University student poverty will end, this road will lead to the Palace!” were detained. The students were referred to the courthouse on charges of “insulting Erdoğan” and were released by the Criminal Judgeship of Peace with judicial control conditions after their statements at the prosecutor’s office. University students announced outside the courthouse that they will continue their struggle by reiterating their demands for fixing KYK scholarships at half the minimum wage and canceling loan debts.
