DEM Party Mêrdin MP Saliha Aydeniz brought the 3 years, 4 months and 15 days prison sentence given to JINNEWS News Director Öznur Değer to the agenda of the Parliament. In her parliamentary question to be answered by Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, Aydeniz asked about the increasing judicial pressure against Kurdish women journalists and the lawsuits filed against them for their news content. Aydeniz emphasized that the sentencing of women journalists without attending the hearings violates the right to defense.
