The Istanbul Civil Court of First Instance has issued a broadcast injunction against Netflix’s documentary “Portrait of a Murder: The Münevver Case.” Münevver Karabulut’s mother requested the precautionary measure, stating that the documentary’s release was objectionable. The court banned the documentary from being shown on social media, television, Netflix, and all digital or physical platforms until the trial is over. The ruling stated that continuing the broadcast before the inheritance investigation is complete could cause “irreparable harm.” Netflix had previously shared a trailer for the production but had not announced an official release date.
