Pharmacist Mehmet Ali Gülşen, who was sentenced to prison for calling President Erdoğan a “dictator” during a press statement held in Adana on the anniversary of the October 10 Ankara Train Station Massacre, was acquitted by the Court of Cassation. The 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation stated that the words were not degrading and should be considered within the scope of political criticism.
