Following the Ankara 3rd Civil Court of First Instance’s rejection of CHP’s lawsuit to cancel the Istanbul Provincial Congress, CHP Group Deputy Chair Murat Emir announced that they have applied for the trustee decision to be lifted.
CHP took legal action against the trustee appointed to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency. In its application to the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance, the party administration argued that the trustee decision has no legal basis.
Group Deputy Chairperson Emir said, “The annulment decision has become null and void. Legally, the trustee’s duty has ended.”
CHP’s application initiated a new judicial process that will determine whether Gürsel Tekin can continue to serve as a trustee.
