The Constitutional Court ruled that the freedom of expression of prisoner Bekir Dönmez, who was given a disciplinary penalty for the expressions he used during a phone call in prison, was violated. The Constitutional Court stated that Dönmez did not target the prison staff and that his words were in the nature of a reproach. The court ordered Dönmez to pay compensation and a retrial.
