Mehmet Şah Ertekin stated that he and his family were detained in Antalya on December 16 and subjected to ill-treatment during their detention, and made a press statement at the Antalya branch of the Human Rights Association on December 26. Ertekin said that raids were carried out on seven homes in the early hours of the morning without a search warrant being shown, that family members were beaten, and that they were held in custody for three days in violation of the law. The Ertekin family filed a criminal complaint with the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office over the incidents. The Antalya Branch of the Human Rights Association announced that it would follow the process.
