Former Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem was arrested within the scope of the bribery and criminal organization investigation conducted by Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
In addition to Erdem, 15 people including municipality executives, contractors and business people were arrested, while 7 people including his wife and brother-in-law were released on judicial control conditions.
Money, jewelry, real estate, vehicles, bank and crypto accounts were seized during the operations.
A trustee was appointed to a company through the SDIF.
