The Ankara 26th Criminal Court of First Instance announced its interim decision on January 13 in the case filed over allegations of irregularities at the CHP’s 38th Ordinary Congress. The court ruled to await responses to the letters sent to municipalities and to accept Lütfü Savaş’s request to join the case. Rejecting the defendants’ requests for acquittal, the court postponed the trial of 12 defendants, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, until February 23 at 9:00 a.m.
