Cemre Nayir, president of the Polen Ecology Association, appeared before a judge on June 2 for the first hearing in the case in which she was arrested following an operation on February 3. The Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court ruled to release Nayir, who is on trial on charges of “membership in an organization,” subject to a travel ban and a requirement to sign in weekly. Nayir and his lawyers argued that the charges in the indictment were not based on concrete evidence.
