The Forensic Medicine Institute recommended that Ayşe Barım, who was arrested as part of the Gezi Park investigation, be referred to a fully equipped hospital so that an assessment could be made as to whether she could remain in prison due to her health condition. It was noted that Barım requires examinations from various specialties due to weight loss, cardiac issues, and other health concerns. The committee stated that an assessment of whether prison conditions are suitable can be made after a detailed health report is submitted following a definitive diagnosis and treatment.
