In the protest organized to support Boğaziçi University students, Necmettin Erdem, Akın Karakuş, Ömer Şengel and Murat Can Demirci were arrested and two others were sentenced to house imprisonment.
Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Fine Arts (MSGSÜ) Department of Cinema and Television student Beyza Buldağ and People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Youth Assembly member Muhammed Ünal were arrested within the investigation conducted against the protests organized against the appointment of Melih Bulu as rector to Boğaziçi University, due to their social media posts.
A group of people gathered in Kadıköy on February 4 to support the protests at Boğaziçi University as well as to announce the establishment declaration for the United Fighting Forces. 61 people were detained with a police intervention and were sent to Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse.
