The final hearing of the lawsuit filed on the killing of Barış Kerem (18) and Oğuzhan Erkul (18) through the fire opened by the police on April 14, 2017 at the exit of Gazi Neighborhood City Forest in Sultangazi district of Istanbul, was held at IStanbul 1st Assize Court. The court sentenced the defendants to 3 years and four months of imprisonment each due to “reckless homicide” and turned the sentences to 24,300 TL judicial fine, which corresponds to 1215 days in prison from 20 TLs per day.
