Producer Matteo Milleri, known as Anyma, said he would legally challenge the Istanbul Governor’s Office ban on his concert scheduled for 12 September at Istanbul Ataköy Marina Arena. Social media posts and some publications had claimed that the concert was a “Satanic ritual.” Milleri said his show was a science-fiction story exploring themes of darkness and light, destruction and creation, and had no religious or political propaganda purpose. He said his visuals had been altered and taken out of context and that neither he nor his team had been given an opportunity to explain or adapt the show before the ban.
